For the second time in the current TCR Russia season, Klim Gavrilov has been stripped of a race win.
The VRC-Team’s driver was given a 3-second time penalty after Race 2 at the Moscow Raceway, for making contact with Aleksey Dudukalo who was later forced to retire with a broken wheel.
The penalty dropped Gavrilov from first to fourth and so Andrej Maslennikov inherited the victory, while Andrej Radoshnov and Ivan Lukashevich moved into second and third respectively.
Gavrilov had already been deprived of his victory in the second race at Igora Drive for having collided with Rustam Fatkhutdinov. On that occasion the win was handed to Maslennikov’s teammate Lukashevich.
The penalty also dropped Gavrilov from second to sixth in the championship standings.
