TCR Denmark’s pre-season test was held on Tuesday and Wednesday at Padborg Park, where the new season will kick off on May 7/8. This was also the first opportunity for the teams to test the new Kumho tyres.
On his first outing in his new CUPRA Leon Competición, Michael Markussen topped the time sheet with a lap of 1:01.86 set during the first day 1, only five hundredths of a second faster than the other CUPRA Leon driven by Kenn Bach (1:01.91).
Green Development’s Nicolai Sylvest completed a 1-2-3 for the CUPRA Leon cars, clocking a lap of 1:01.94; he was followed by Jacob Mathiassen’s Insight Racing Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce (1:01.95) and by the second-generation Audi RS 3 LMS run by Meteor Racing and driven by René Povlsen (1:01.96).
Thirteen cars took part in the test, while the reigning champion Kasper H. Jensen was absent due to a clashing commitment.
