99motorsport team owner, Marcus LaDelle, will get behind the wheel of his team’s Audi RS 3 LMS at Sandown for the opening round of the 2024 TCR Australia season.
“While I originally had the humble approach of putting a driver in the car, I can’t resist the challenge of steering this very fast car, and I love the Sandown circuit,” said LaDelle. “Our ultimate plan is to enter two Audis cars in the series and we are holding a Rookie Evaluation Day on January 24 at Sydney Motorsport Park to assess up to four great candidates for the second car. It wasn’t our initial plan for me to drive the car, but with the time of year it seems smart to commit to this and work on the driver for the second car.”
LaDelle brings over 20 years of racing experience to the wheel, with recent competitive outings in Toyota 86 and RX8 machinery.
The Central Coast-based race team has recently purchased an Audi from Melbourne Performance Centre, who will provide engineering assistance to the team throughout 2024.
