TCR Denmark visits Jyllandsringen for the second time in the current season, for rounds 10, 11 and 12.
In the previous event at Copenhagen, the reigning champion Kasper H. Jensen won two races in his Massive Motorsport Honda Civic Type R and jumped on top of the standings, two points ahead of the previous leader Jan Magnussen (LM Racing, CUPRA Leon Competición). The former F1 driver crashed during Saturday's race and could not start in any of the two Sunday's races. That was a hard blow for his hopes to clinch the title, because he will also miss this weekend's event due to his commitment to race in the 24H Le Mans.
At Copenhagen, Casper Elgaard (Brian Madsen Motorsport, Peugeot 308) claimed one victory and moved into the third position in the standings, 11 points behind Jensen. Behind him are placed Michael Markussen (Markussen Motorsport, Peugeot 308) and Magnussen's teammate Nicolai Sylvest with gaps of 24 and 40 points respectively.
