M1RA, the 2017 Teams’ Champion of the TCR International Series, will take part in its home event of the WTCR at the Hungaroring. The Hungarian-based outfit will run a Hyundai i30 N TCR car for Dániel Nagy.
“This weekend will be kind of a festival for Hungarian motorsport, and it is an amazing feeling that M1RA will be part of this show. The team has worked incredibly hard since last year, and I am very proud of our progress. I have to say thank you to our sponsors and supporters for having the possibility to compete again on the top of the TCR pyramid,” team principal Dávid Bári stated.
M1RA announced its participation in the new TCR Europe Series with Dániel Nagy and its participation in the WTCR event at the Hungaroring will be the perfect preparation for the opening of the European series, one week later at the Circuit Paul Ricard.
“My focus this year is to be competitive in the TCR Europe Series, but I am extremely motivated by this opportunity to compete in the WTCR in front of my home crowd. I will drive exactly the same car as the other Hyundai drivers, so I am very curious to see what I can achieve compared to that group of champions. I hope I can improve my self-confidence a bit with a good result one week before the start of TCR Europe,” said Nagy.
