After confirming Jan Magnussen and Nicolai Sylvest for the 2021 TCR Denmark, LM Racing announced that Louise Frost may join the team.
The 26-year-old lady driver, who made occasional appearances in the 2019 TCR Scandinavia at the wheel of an Insight Racing Alfa Romeo Giulietta, would take over one of the two Volkswagen Golf GTI cars that Magnussen and Sylvest drove in the 2020 TCR Denmark, while her new teammates will switch to CUPRA Leon Competición cars.
“We have agreed to collaborate with the goal to raise the money it takes for a full season. Motorsport is having a hard time, but there's optimism anyway. We are halfway-through, and the coming months will tell if we can make it happen,” Frost said.
Team owner Lars Mogensen off LM Racing is also optimistic: “We had the ambition to expand our line-up with one or more junior drivers, as we want to use our experience to develop new talents. Louise is a good example and we've agreed to help each other for making this happening.”
“I see TCR as a great chance to make a further step in my racing career. The Danish championship had a great start in 2020 with lots of good teams and drivers, and I expect even more for 2021. LM Racing has really shown its strengths, and I'm sure it can help me realize this plan,” Frost concluded.
