Langeveld switches to Honda for defending TCR Italy title

Reigning TCR Italy champion Niles Langeveld moved to MM Motorsport for driving a new Honda Civic Type R FL5 in his defence of the Drivers’ title.

“When you win the championship in one of the most competitive series of Touring Car racing, you naturally have high hopes for a strong offer. We had the intention to continue with Hyundai, but unfortunately the negotiations failed. Nevertheless, I look back on our time together with a positive feeling. It was a great adventure,” explained Langeveld who scored four wins last season with a Hyundai Elantra N for Target Competition.

“JAS and MM Motorsport were very determined from the beginning, and the package they offered looks pretty promising: I get to drive a brand new car for a great team! I’m incredibly grateful to them for giving me this opportunity and I’m extremely motivated to remain the number one!”
