Kris Richard joins Target for TCR Europe
Kris Richard is the second driver signed by Target Competition for the team’s three-car campaign in the 2018 TCR Europe Series. The Swiss joins Ulster’s Reece Barr, while their third teammate will be communicated in due course.
Richard, the 2016 FIA European Touring Cup winner, will drive one of the three Hyundai i30 N TCR cars run by the Italian outfit. In 2017 he took part in the TCR Germany in a Target Competition’s Honda Civic and was classified 10th in the final standings.
“I am pleased with the offer from Target Competition to compete in the new TCR Europe. There is a nice bunch of young drivers like me at the start, but I think we can be at the same level of the older guys in WTCR. I was impressed by the performance of the Hyundai when I tested it in Monza and I am very confident for the season,” he said.
