The TCR Russia championship resumes at Kazan Ring for the third event of the season.
Competition is very close and the first four drivers in the standings are currently split by nine points only.
LADA Sport Rosneft's Kirill Ladygin has moved into the lead after winning the first race in the previous event at Igora Drive, but he's only two points clear of LUKOIL Racing Team's veteran Aleksey Dudukalo (Audi RS 3 LMS).
Their own teammates, LUKOIL's Ivan Lukashevich (Hyundai i30 N) and LADA's Mikhail Mityaev are placed in third and fourth positions, 7 and 9 points behind Ladygin respectively.
The reigning champion Dmitry Bragin (TAIF Motorsport, Hyundai i30 N) has still to win a race and lies in fifth position with a gap of 19 points.
The field will grow to 19 cars, with TAIF Motorsport's Timur Shigabutdinov making his seasonal debut at the wheel of his Audi RS 3 LMS.
Sunday’s races will be streamed live at www.tcr-series.com: Race 1 at 11:50 local time (10:50 CEST), Race 2 at 16:55 local time (15:55. CEST).
