Karklys and Martinek join TCR Eastern Europe in Slovakia

Two new competitors will join the TCR Eastern Europe field this weekend at the Slovakia Ring: Jonas Karklys and Rene Martinek.
Karklys will be at the wheel of a Hyundai i30 N run by Nordpass Jutaracing, the same car the Lithuanian drives in the ADAC TCR Germany in which he is currently placed eighth in the standings.
Martinek returns to TCR Eastern Europe in an RTM Motorsport Volkswagen Golf GTI; the Austrian driver made a couple of appearances in the 2020 season at the Slovakia Ring and Brno.
Another change to the entry list for this weekend concerns LEMA Racing’s Giacomo Ghermandi, who lies ninth in the standings. The Italian driver has dropped the CUPRA TCR he has raced so far for a brand new CUPRA Leon Competición.
