Johan Kristoffersson has claimed pole position for the second event of the 2018 TCR Scandinavia at the Anderstorp Raceway in his Kristoffersson Motorsport Volkswagen Golf GTI, holding off three PWR Racing’s Cupra cars in a close Qualifying.
With a lap of 1:37.561, Kristoffersson pipped current championship leader Daniel Haglöf (1:37.577) who has 20kg of success ballast on board by just 16-thousandths of a second in the second part of qualifying, scoring his first pole position since Karlskoga last year.
Haglöf’s teammates Philip Morin (1:37.650) and Robert Dahlgren (1:37.683) qualified third and fourth respectively.
Andreas Wernersson placed his Lestrup Racing Volkswagen fifth on the grid, ahead of Fredrik Ekblom’s WestCoast Racing Volkswagen; Ekblom had posted the fastest lap time in Q1.
Mattias Andersson completed the top ten in his Honda Racing Sweden Civic FK2 and will start the reversed grid second race from pole position.
The first race is scheduled for 12:45 CET with Race 2 at 15:15 CET, both races running to 12 laps and streamed live at www.tcr-series.com and www.tcr-series.tv.
