The FIA WTCR moves to the Hiberian peninsula for two consecutive race meetings in Spain and Portugal.
This weekend the Touring Car World Cup will visit MotorLand Aragón, where Mikel Azcona (BRC Squadra Corse, Hyundai Elantra N) hopes to benefit from racing on his home ground and extend his leadership in the Drivers' championship. Azcona scored two consecutive victories in Pau's Race 2 and Hungaroring's Race 1, and so jumped to the top of the standings, ten points clear of Néstor Girolami (Münnich Motorsport, Honda Civic Type R).
Santiago Urrutia (Cyan Racing, Lynk & Co 03), the winner of the second race in Hungary, moved up into third, six points behind Girolami and six ahead of his own teammate and reigning champion Yann Ehrlacher.
