Hyundai Motorsport fields Michelisz and Azcona in WTCR

Hyundai Motorsport Customer Racing will be represented on the 2022 WTCR grid by a duo of Hyundai Elantra N TCR prepared by the BRC Racing Team for the 2019 title winne Norbert Michelisz and the double TCR Europe champion Mikel Azcona.

Michelisz said: “I am very happy and honoured to be confirmed for the 2022 season. It is exciting having Mikel as my teammate, he is probably one of the best out there. We know the Elantra N is a race-winning car and we now have an extra season of experience with the chassis to put to use.”

Azcona said: “I’m extremely happy and proud to join Hyundai Motorsport Customer Racing for the upcoming season. It’s another great step on my career. I can’t wait to start working with my new teammate, everyone at the BRC Racing Team and to jump into the Elantra N as well and do my best, as always. I’m really looking forward to start a great season as I’m convinced that we can achieve great results together.”
