Guastamacchia returns to the TCR Italy championship

Mauro Guastamacchia will make his return to the TCR Italy championship from the next event at Misano. He will drive a Hyundai Elantra N car for the Aggressive Team Italia, joining Kevin Ceccon and Edoardo Cappello who are racing an Elantra and a Hyundai i30 N respectively.  

During the two previous seasons, Guastamacchia drove a Hyundai i30 N, finishing ninth in the 2020 TCR Italy and winning the title of the Coppa Italia Turismo in 2021. He drove the Elantra for the first time in this year’s Coppa Italia season opener at Mugello.

“We have decided to tackle this new challenge that marks my return to TCR Italy. It’s an important step for our team that lines up three cars for the first time with the goal of being always competitive and fight for the top positions. My personal goal is to measure myself in a championship that has proved to be very competitive and to support Kevin in the title fight,” said Guastamacchia.
