Groundbreaking car disinfection system developed with J.A.S.

J.A.S. Motorsport, the company responsible for designing and building the Honda Civic TCR cars, has developed for Colibrì a system that can be used to disinfect the interiors of both road and racing cars. The system, which uses Ultraviolet C (UV-C) radiation delivered by lamps, is able to sanitize car’s interior, boot, bodywork and keys in a few minutes. 
The device designed for road cars in indented to be use by car dealerships, car rental companies, repair shops and car washes, while race teams will be able to use the system
The Racing device, called Colibrì Racing, can disinfect the steering wheel, seat and hand controls of a racing car in only a minute, making it ideal for use in endurance races that feature driver changes.
The system can be also used to sanitise and disinfect surfaces inside pit garages, team trucks and equipment.
The device is designed for use by a single operator and uses UV-C lamps made in the USA. In tests by the Italian SILEA laboratory, a one-minute treatment eliminated between 96% and 100% of contamination (applied using a pad containing a bacterial solution).
