After helping Valentina Albanese to clinch the title of the Italian Touring Endurance Championship, Jordi Gené was victorious in today’s second race at Mugello.
Released from the pressure of the team strategy, the Spaniard sprinted from pole position at the start and led for the whole race, resisting the pressure from Albanese first and Walter Palazzo (BMW M3) in the final laps, after Valentina Albanese was slowed down by a technical problem that dropped her to the fourth place behind another BMW M3 driven by Massimiliano Tresoldi.
Gené’s victory provided the icing on the cake for the triumphant season of the SEAT Motorsport Italian team.
