Due to the COVID-19 emergency, the calendar of the 2020 Canadian Touring Car Championship was reduced to three events only. The series starts this weekend at Bowmanville.
Gary Kwok defends the title of the TCR class at the wheel of his M&S Racing Honda Civic Type R; his brother Tom has also swapped the old Civic FK2 for a new Civic FK7.
Their strongest competitors appear to be Audi drivers Jean-François Hevey and Travis Hill who were classified second and third last year. Another title contender is Bob Attrell with his Hyundai i30 N.
The latest addition to the entry list was Zachary Vanier with an Audi entered by Pfaff Motorsport; the 17-year old driver joins the championship after an impressive maiden season in the F1600 Canadian championship that saw him stepping on the podium 17 times out of 18 races.
