Gabriela Correia is a 16-year-old girl, and she has a dream since her father put her in a kart, four years ago.
“I understood immediately that I wanted to become a racing driver!” she explains.
And as soon as she turned 16, she took part in the Rampa de Falperra, a round of the Portuguese hill climbing championship driving a SEAT León.
Now she adds a programme in the TCR Ibérico with a CUPRA DSG. “My goal is to evolve as a racing driver, without thinking to the results. I am delighted to race in a circuit and I’m about to fulfil my dreams of racing at Estoril. So far I have only tested in Portimão.”
The fact to be the only girl in the championship doesn’t put her under pressure.
“I always face the situations without thinking that I am different. After all, for the time being, I am the only Portuguese girl in motorsport…”
