The TCR Italy championship resumes at Vallelunga this weekend with five drivers covered by 22 points on top of the standings.
The winner of the 2018 and 2019 titles, Salvatore Tavano (Scuderia del Girasole, CUPRA Leon Competición) has jumped into the lead after the latest races at Imola.
The former leader Marco Pellegrini (Target Competition, Hyundai i30 N) has slipped to second, nine points behind Tavano, while Eric Brigliadori (BF Motorsport, Audi RS 3 LMS) lies in third position, only one further point adrift.
Close behind the leading trio are Felice Jelmini (PMA Motorsport, Hyundai i30 N) and Damiano Reduzzi (Team Trico WRT) who took one race win apiece three weeks ago at Imola and must recover gaps of 17 and 22 points from Tavano respectively.
At Vallelunga, experienced Touring Car driver Massimiliano Pezzuto will make his debut in the championship in a Volkswagen Golf GTI DSG run by Team Perodi, while Nicola Guida will switch from the CUPRA DSG he had driven in the first part of the season to a CUPRA SEQ.
Live streaming of both races will be on www.tcr-series.com; Saturday at 17:50 and Sunday at 16:35 local times (CEST).
