First win for Skuba Racing Team in the NEZ6H Series

There was drama in the third round of the NEZ6H series at Riga Bikernieki. The battle for the TCR class involved three Lithuanian teams: the Volkswagen Golf GTI cars of Noker Racing and Skuba Racing and the DHL Racing CUPRA.
Kęstutis Stasionis and Marius Slaboševičius, the winners of the previous round in Finland and the leaders of the standings, led the first part of the race in the Noker Racing Golf GTI; however they were forced to retire after four hours and 30 minutes with a gearbox failure. A similar issue had already eliminated the Golf run by GSR Motorsport that was driven by lady drivers Ernesta Globytė and Indre Senkutė-Gedgaudiene.
After Noker Racing retired, the leadership was taken by Dziugas Tovilavičius and Egidijus Valeiša in the Skuba Racing Golf who held onto the first position in TCR and finished second overall behind a Lamborghini Huracan. The victory also promoted them to the top of the TCR standings, eight points clear of Noker Racing.
The DHL Racing CUPRA shared by Ramūnas Čapkauskas, Jurgis Adomavičius and local driver Valters Zviedris, was classified third overall and second in the class, only one lap behind the winners. The third place went to another CUPRA entered by the Igoriolankai team that after six hours beat the Energizer Racing Golf GTI by only seven tenths.
The Golf of the Finnish team Black Rose Racing was eliminated by a race incident, while the CUPRA of Dream 2 Drive PRO lost several laps in the pits for replacing a ball-joint.
The final round of the NEZ6H will be at Pärnu on September 20^th/22^nd.
