Luigi Ferrara will make his debut at the wheel of the Alfa Romeo Giulia ETCR by Romeo Ferraris during the next weekend of the PURE ETCR series, this weekend at the Hungaroring.
Ferrara will share one of the Romeo Ferraris M1RA cars with Rodrigo Baptista, replacing Oliver Webb who is committed to race in the Le Mans 24 Hours, while Phillip Eng and Luca Filippi will share the other car, fresh from their double victory in the Super Finals of the previous event at Copenhagen.
Michela Cerruti, Team Principal Romeo Ferraris said: “The few last days have been very intense. We arrived in Denmark with a very heavy heart after the death of my father Aldo, and we left with the joy of having paid tribute to him in the best way that could honour his memory and commitment to the project. This weekend's challenge in Hungary is equally important, not only on a technical level, because it will be the first circuit in which the PURE ETCR will compete directly with other categories, but also because it will allow us to verify what the values on the field are after racing on a street circuit in Denmark. Furthermore, Budapest represents the home race for our partners this season, M1RA, who obviously want to do very well.”
