TCR Italy's fourth race meeting takes place at Mugello, where Luigi Ferrara and his V-Action Racing Alfa Romeo Giulietta will try to add a new success to their tally of three wins.
In the championship classification Ferrara is followed by Salvatore Tavano and Matteo Greco who are 23.5 points behind; they have shared the same Cupra car in the previous events, but from this weekend Greco will race in a second Cupra entered by the SEAT Motorsport Italia team.
Amongst the favourites for race victories are Jürgen Schmarl who claimed his maiden win at Misano, Andrea Larini, the reigning champion Nicola Baldan and Eric Scalvini; they are all eager to reduce their gaps from the leader.
The series welcomes new drivers: Russia’s Denis Grigoriev in an MM Motorsport Honda Civic FK2, Portugal’s Cesar Machado who will share one of the Target Competition Honda Civic cars with fellow countryman José Rodrigues, Nello Nataloni in the second Opel Astra run by the South Italy Racing Team, Daniele Verrocchio and Massimiliano Danetti who will co-drive two Cupra cars with Francesco Savoia and Cosimo Papi respectively.
Both races will be streamed live at www.tcr-series.tv, Saturday at 18:30 and Sunday at 15:00 local time.
