Elite Motorsport is the first team to announce a programme in the new TCR DSG Europe Series that will kick off next year at the end of March at Mugello.
During the 2019 season, the Brescia-based outfit has campaigned three Volkswagen Golf GTI cars in the Italian TCR DSG Endurance Championship, winning the Volkswagen Cup.
“Our priority is to step up to the TCR DSG Europe,” declared general director Maurizio Presti. “We currently own three Golf cars, but we aim to run up to four in the continental series next year. We are now in negotiations with several drivers, including Giovanni and Alessandro Altoè and Franco Gnutti.”
Giovanni Altoè and his nephew Alessandro, sharing a CUPRA car, have clinched the inaugural title in the 2019 TCR DSG Endurance.
WSC Group Ltd., the entity behind the TCR concept and owner of the TCR brand, has appointed TCR Europe Series Ltd. to organise the new TCR DSG Europe Series.
