Vila Real resident Edgar Florindo will be a guest driver in the next event of the WTCR that will take place in his home town on June 23/24.
Florindo will be at the wheel of a Cupra TCR run by Veloso Motorsport. “I feel proud and very satisfied. I will find some of the best touring car drivers in the world on the best circuit in the world. I always liked challenges and this is the biggest of my career yet, but I know the track very well and I trust myself to achieve the best results,” he said.
The 30-year-old Portuguese who is currently racing in the TCR class of the Campeonato España Resistencia was classified fourth in last year’s TCR Portugal with two race wins at Braga and Portimão.
“I don’t have specific goals, but I have a commitment to myself to do my best on the track and, above all, to this city. My responsibility is to represent a city full of motorsport fans and I believe that with determination, work and the support from the huge crowd of Vila Real we will have good results,” Florindo stated.
