Frédéric Vervisch (1st): “We’re still early in the weekend, as I said after FP1, but the car is going well on all kinds of tyres so that’s good, but you don’t know what everyone else is up to. I’m getting more confident and so that’s a good thing because so much is new for me – the procedure for warming up and so on – but if we can get a top ten or even a top five it would be great. If not, we just go with the flow and we’ll take it step by step.”
Jean-Karl Vernay (2nd): “I’m pretty happy with where we finished. I think we worked really well and we can make the car a little bit quicker, but we have to if we want to take good points from here. Everybody put at least two new tyres on. FP1 didn’t make any sense with all these guys with brand new tyres and we had tyres from Bahrain! Now everyone had pretty much the same tyre condition and so we have a clear view now.”
Maxime Potty (3rd): “I have to say that I’m very happy with the session and the result. It’s the first time for me at an event as big as this and I’m still quite young so I’m very pleased with P3. I think we can improve the car a little, but of course we don’t know what the others will do, especially regarding the tyres, so it will be difficult to improve on this performance but you can be sure we will try.”
