Ferenc Ficza (1st fastest): “Again, I had a perfect car, even better than yesterday. The track has more grip than yesterday, despite the cold temperature, but you still have to be very careful and avoid going out of the ideal line.”
Davit Kajaia (2nd fastest): “It’s nice to be so close to the top. The team did a great work and gave me a very good car, but we still have to work to improve the set-up, as I had quite some oversteer in some corners. Without that, I could have done much better.”
Attila Tassi (3rd fastest): “Again, a good session, but we are still learning the car and it still behaves strangely in some corners. In free practice 2, we’ll focus mostly on working on the set-up.”
Jean-Karl Vernay (4th fastest): “I am not very happy with the set-up, we still have quite some work to do. Still, my lap times were good, which shows that we can do quite well with the Golf on this track.”
Pierre-Yves Corthals (13th fastest): “I am struggling a bit, and in different areas. We couldn’t really understand so far where the issue comes from, so we have quite a lot of work ahead of us, first of all to correct understeer.”
