Both Kevin Ceccon and Tiago Monteiro, who had finished third and fourth in the WTCR Race 3 at Suzuka, were dropped following Stewards’ decisions.
Ceccon was given a five second time penalty for colliding with Rob Huff before overtaking him on lap 21.
Monteiro was given a ten second penalty for mistakenly taking the way to the pit lane behind the safety car on the final lap and then swerving to the left to rejoin the track.
This meant that they dropped to sixth and 15th. The championship points were also reshuffled as Esteban Guerrieri’s competitors in the title fight scored more points: Thed Björk was promoted from fifth to third, while Norbert Michelisz and Yvan Muller advanced by one position.
