Carsten Lorenzen and Miccar Racing announced their plan to compete in the 2021 TCR Denmark championship with a Honda Civic Type R FK2.
Since his racing debut in 2013, Lorenzen has taken part in the Yokohama 1600 Challenge, before switching in 2017 to the Danish Supertourisme Turbo series that was later renamed Super GT Denmark.
The Honda FK2 Lorenzen will drive was built in 2017 and was previously raced by Kenn Bach; Lorenzen will compete in the Trofeo Championship for non-professional drivers over 40 years who race in cars built before 2019.
"I have to be honest and say that the last four seasons have been tough, especially mentally-wise. I never quite managed to crack the code for the Super GT car, so now something new has to happen. I have to find the joy of racing again and I'm sure I'll find it in TCR Denmark,” said Lorenzen.
