Callejas to join Volcano Motorsport for TCR Europe

Isidro Callejas will be driving a CUPRA Leon Competición for Volcano Motorsport in the 2022 TCR Europe series. The Spanish teenager is the first driver to confirm a programme with the team that delivered the TCR Europe Drivers’ title for Mikel Azcona in 2021.

Callejas made his TCR Europe debut driving a Honda Civic Type R for the Brutal Fish Racing team last year. A third-place finish in Race 2 at Zandvoort and qualifying on pole position at the Nürburgring were the highlights of an impressive maiden season in which he finished eleventh in the final standings and clinched the Rookie title.

Callejas said: “I’m extremely happy to announce that this year I will be racing in TCR Europe with Volcano Motorsport. Thank you to all people that made this possible. Looking forward to the start of the championship.”
