Borkovič scored all the points for grasp in the season

Describing Dušan Borkovič’s maiden season in TCR Eastern Europe as triumphant would be an underestimation. In fact, on top of clinching the title well in advance, the Serb has scored 100% of the points at stake during the season. He completed his clear round at the Hungaroring, claiming his eighth victory in the second race.
While Borković was comfortably leading, Jáchym Galáš won the battle for the second position against Milovan Vesnić who later lost the third place to Michal Makeš. This helped Galáš to finish the season on equal points as Vesnić, but the latter retained the second position thanks to three second places against Galáš’ two.
It was raining when the race started with Borkovič sprinting to the lead from pole position; behind him Vesnić kept Sandro Soubek at bay, but soon afterwards the Austrian’s Audi began to drop by several places. During the opening lap, Łukasz Stolarczyk and Radim Adámek spun and rejoined at the back of the field.
Galáš was chasing Vesnić and then managed to overtake him for P2 in lap three; behind them Makeš held on to the fourth position rejecting the pressure from Szymon Ładniak and Szymon Jabłoński. 
Borkovič benefitted from the battles behind and created a small gap, despite Galáš’ efforts to stay in contact. In lap 6, Makeš began to attack Vesnić for P3; for a couple of laps the 2019 champion was able to keep his rival behind, but in lap 7, Makeš finally passed him.
Ładniak and Jabłoński provided the final thrill, delivering a tough battle for the fifth position; in lap 8, Jabłoński passed ahead, but Ładniak didn’t give up and after a couple of clashes he retook the position in lap 9 and retained it until the end.
