Victory in the TCR class of the 12H Mugello went to the Bonk Motorsport Audi RS3 LMS driven by Hermann Bock and Max Partl.
Six TCR cars took the start in the race, that counted as thesecond round of the 24H Series and was split in two legs of two and eight hours respectively.
The Bonk Motorsport Audi won both legs, but Bock and Hermann were handed victory in in Friday’s first leg when Gijs Bessem’s NKPP Racing SEAT León hit the barriers in turn eight with only two minutes left, wasting a three-lap lead. Bessel and his teammates Harry Hilders and Bas Koeten classified in second place, only 8.8 seconds behind the winning Audi.
Saturday, the Bonk Motorsport Audi RS3 LMS took a comfortable victory in the second and longer leg, with a ten-lap margin from the SICL.com SEAT León car of Gavin Spencer, Ashley Woodman, Frank Pettitt and Carey Lewis. The Car Collection Motorsport Audi RS3 LMS shared by Monika Parhofer, Dirk Vorländer, Siegfried Kuzdas and Christian Schmitz claimed third spot.
