The Volcano Motorsport CUPRA of Mikel Azcona and Evgenii Leonov dominated the TCR class in the second event of the Campeonato de España Resistencia at Valencia’s Circuito Ricardo Tormo.
Repeating what they had done in the season opener at Navarra, the pair of Azcona and Leonov won the class in both the 50-minute races, leaving the rest of the field one lap behind.
Felipe and Rubén Fernández finished twice on the podium – second in Race 1 and third in Race 2 – at the wheel of their RC2 Junior Team CUPRA, while their teammates Dídac Ros and Pedro Peña were classified second in Race 2.
The other podium position – third in Race 1 – went to the Audi RS 3 LMS run by SPV Racing that was shared by Briton Brande Oxley and Dutch Mirco van Oostrum.
The series will returns into action at Jerez de la Frontera on September 19/20.
