Sixteen-year-old Hungarian Attila Bucsi will be making his TCR debut this weekend, during the TCR Eastern Europe season finale at Brno. Bucsi will race a Hyundai i30 N run by M1RA Motorsport.
The young driver and M1RA Motorsport have been associated since he was 12, as Bucsi has been part of the team’s development programme and competed in the Suzuki Swift Cup Europe that he dominated in 2022 by winning all the races.
Having turned 16 last month, Bucsi is now eligible to obtain an international racing license, allowing him to compete in TCR Eastern Europe.
“I am proud to say that this weekend brings the opportunity I have been waiting for since my collaboration with M1RA. I am very excited! I have been preparing for this for over three years, and I will strive to perform to the best of my abilities,” said Bucsi, who is mentored by Norbert Michelisz, current leader of the Kumho TCR World Tour and team owner.
