After setting pole positions at Grobnik, Slovakia Ring and Brno in the TCR Eastern Europe, Dušan Borković repeated himself at the Hungaroring and topped the Qualifying session for the fourth time in the season.
With his M1RA Motorsport Hyundai i30 N the Serb finished 0.71 hundredths of a second ahead of the ASK Vesnić team’s CUPRA driver Milovan Vesnić; they will share the first row of the grid for tomorrw’s Race 1 with their best lap times of 1:53.468 and 1:54.182 respectively.
Last year vice-champion Jáchym Galáš, representing GT2 Motorsport, posted the third fastest lap of 1:54.717 and he was followed by Łukasz Stolarczyk at the wheel of the BTC Maszyny-run Volkswagen Golf GTI. Mair Racing Östtirol competitor Sandro Soubek qualified in fifth position with his Audi RS 3 LMS.
