2020 TCR Denmark vice-champion Martin Andersen will switch to the ADAC TCR Germany for the new season.
Andersen who scored two race wins in the past season at the wheel of a Hyundai i30 N run by his own team, has signed deal with the Hyundai Team Engstler.
“It is a new situation for me, as we had always been racing as a family and team in one. I can’t wait to drive for the Engstler team. I will bring my personal coach Peter Jäger with me for this new adventure in Germany,”Andersen said, adding: “The circuits on the calendar are another new experience for me. I know Hockenheim from the past, but the rest are all new to me. I am sure we have the best possible team to take on this challenge, and I can’t wait to get going.”
Team Engstler’s CEO Franz Engstler commented: “We are really looking forward to this. Martin has already proven his talent in Denmark, and he knows the Hyundai i30 N really well. Now, we are going to take the first steps towards international racing together. We will do everything to ensure that he has a good basis for a successful championship, and I am sure we can train him for even bigger tasks in the future.”
