Alex Hui wins Race 2 and grabs TCR China title

TeamWork Motorsport made up from a disappointing Race 1 as Alex Hui won the second race at Guangdong International Circuit and grabbed the TCR China title for him and co-driver Sunny Wong.
Hui made good use of his pole position to take the lead at the start in his Volkswagen Golf GTI, while Li Si Cheng who was second on the grid, took a poor start in the Leo Racing Golf and dropped to fifth behind the other Golf cars of Li Xue Feng and Mai Yi Bo and the Freely Racing Alfa Romeo Giulietta of Xia Yi Li.
Li Si Cheng began to recover as he overtook Xia Yi Li for fourth and Mai Yi Bo for third on lap 1, he then moved to second passing Li Xue Feng on lap 4. In the same lap, Xia Yi Li overtook Mai Yi Bo for fourth.
Between laps 3 and 10, Li Si Cheng began to close in on Hui and cut his leading margin from 3 seconds to 7 tenths, but in the final part of the race Hui was able to increase his pace and eventually won by 5 seconds.
Leo Racing’s Li Si Cheng and HE Racing’s Li Xue Feng were classified second and third, completing an all-Volkswagen podium.
The victory propelled Hui and Wong on top of the championship standings, ahead of the MacPro Racing duo of Henry Ho and Eurico De Jesus who did not take part in the series’ finale due to customs issues.
The Champ X T.A. Motorsport Audi RS3 LMS of Gary Lo did not start, following the technical issue that stopped Lo’s co-driver Falco Lau in the first race.
