TCR Australia returns to The Bend Motorsport Park for the final event of its inaugural season.
Although Will Brown has already secured the Drivers' title in his HMO Customer Racing Hyundai i30 N, the competitors are expected to deliver some thrilling battles.
Four drivers will be fighting to finish as runner up: Dylan O'Keeffe (Ashley Seward Motorsport, Alfa Romeo Giulietta), Tony D'Alberto (David Wall Racing, Honda Civic), Aaron Cameron (Melbourne Performance, Volkswagen Golf GTI) and Brown's teammate Nathan Morcom; they are all covered by 45 points when 132 are still on offer.
A record field of 20 cars will hit the track, featuring a few new faces. Former TCR Europe champion Aurélien Comte will be the guest star in a Peugeot 308 run by DG Sport that makes its first appearance in Australia, just like the Garage 1-run CUPRA driven by Tim Brook. Chelsea Angelo will return at the wheel of the Kelly Racing Holden Astra and James Allen will race in the second Alfa Romeo Giulietta of Ashley Seward Motorsport, while Mildun Motorsport will run for the first time the two Subaru WRX STI cars previously entered by Kelly Racing; they will be in the hands of Barton Mawer and Matthew Simmons. The whole weekend will be streamed live at www.tcr-series.com and www.tcr-series.tv with the following schedule: Saturday, Qualifying at 09:30 local time (00:00 CET) and Race 1 at 12:45 local time (03:15 CET); Sunday, Race 2 at 12:40 local time (03:10 CET) and Race 3 at 13:45 local time (04:15 CET).
