Manuel Lauck and Marc Basseng claimed the first even victory for the Hyundai Elantra N TCR in the third round of the Nürburgring Langstrecken Series that was raced yesterday on the Nordschleife.
At the wheel of the car run by Target Competition under the Hyundai Motorsport N banner, Lauck and Basseng completed 26 laps of the 25km road course during the four-hour race, winning the TCR category with a one lap gap ahead of the Lubner Motorsport Opel Astra shared by Roger Vögeli and Roland Schmid. The Opel was victorious in the TCR AM Class ahead of the CUPRA driven by Alexander Schmidt, Thomas Mennecke and Jens Wulf.
The participation of the Hyundai Motorsport N team was part of the preparation for the ADAC 24H Rennen that will take place on 5/6 June; Lauck and Basseng will be joined by Peter Terting for the 24-hour race and the 4-hour Qualification race that will be run next week.
