The TCR Eastern Europe championship kicks off this weekend at the Hungaroring with a field of 15 cars.
Amongst those who are tipped to fight for the title are the 2019 champion and 2020 runner-up Milovan Vesnić who has swapped his CUPRA for an Audi RS 3 LMS, Michal Makeš who was classified fourth in last year's championship and former TCR Germany regular Sebastian Steibel, both at the wheel of CUPRA TCR cars.
The Fullinrace Academy team runs two CUPRA Leon Competición cars for Carol Wittke and Petr Čižek, while a strong Polish contingent is formed by Tomasz Rzepecki (Volkswagen Golf GTI), Łukasz Stolarczyk (Audi RS 3 LMS), Sebastian Kołakowski and Jakub Wyszomirski (both in Honda Civic Type R FK2 cars).
New to the championship is Sanel Ćehić, the reigning champion of the Bosnia-Herzegovina championship for the class E1 2000+, who drives an Audi RS 3 LMS for CS-Motorsport.
