TCR Japan’s Sunday Race at Autopolis was cancelled

TCR Japan’s Sunday Race at Autopolis was cancelled

16 May 2021

The second race of the TCR Japan championship at Autopolis that counted as second round of the Sunday Series has been cancelled and postponed to another date, due to the weather conditions.
Yesterday’s Saturday Series’ round was held under a torrential rain, but with the start due today at 09:45am local time, fog and heavy rain advised the race control to avoid the risk of giving the start.
With the five points awarded for the pole position, yesterday’s race winner ‘Hirobon’ (Birth Racing Project, CUPRA) stretched his leadership in the Saturday Series to ten points over Masanabu Kato (Team Mars, Audi RS 3 LMS).
TCR Japan will next visit Sportsland Sugo on 24/25 July.

Championship points – Sunday series
1. ‘Hirobon’ 33 pts; 2. M. Kato 23; 3. M. Okura 18
