Simon Tomlinson joins JamSport Racing for TCR UK

Simon Tomlinson announced his entry in the TCR UK Touring Car Championship, joining JamSport Racing at the wheel of a CUPRA TCR.

Tomlinson raced five years in the Volkswagen Racing Cup and won the VAG Trophy in 2018.

2022 also sees JamSport Racing make its TCR UK debut, with the team scheduled to run a pair of Subaru Impreza cars as well as the CUPRA for Tomlinson.

“I’m really looking forward to the season ahead, with a new car and new team in a championship that is new to all of us,” explained Tomlinson. “I’m sure that with the help of Team Principal Jamie Going and teammate Ant Whorton-Eales, I’m going to have the support I need to quickly get up to speed with the CUPRA.”

Going said: “After meeting Simon at Motorsport Days Live in November and having had the opportunity to sit next to him on the track, I can see some great potential there. I look forward to working with him for what will be our first season in TCR UK.”
