Andreas Bäckman in TCR Scandinavia with Lestrup Racing

Former TCR Europe and WTCR competitor Andreas Bäckman has joined the Lestrup Racing Team for the 2022 TCR Scandinavia.
“It feels awesome to join Lestrup Racing Team, and my goal this year is to win the title with them,” said Bäckman.
Bäckman had already raced a full season in TCR Scandinavia back in 2018, when he also finished third in the TCR UK championship. He returned to the Scandinavian series last year with a one-off appearance at Mantorp Park where he claimed pole position at the wheel of a Brink Motorsport Audi RS 3 LMS.
After racing Volkswagen Golf GTI cars for four seasons, Lestrup Racing Team will switch manufacturer for 2022.
