Alejandro Geppert joins Teo Martín Motorsport for TCR Spain

Alejandro Geppert is the first driver named by Teo Martín Motorsport for the team’s campaign in the 2022 TCR Spain.

The 19-year-old from Madrid will seat at the wheel of one of the two Hyundai Elantra N cars run by the team, with the backing of Hyundai España.

After starting his motorsport career in karting, Geppert stepped up to Touring Car competition in 2020 and won the Challenge RACE SMC Junior, then in 2021 he raced in the Campeonato de España de Turismos, driving a Hyundai i30 N Fastback for SMC Junior Motorsport. He finished fourth in the Drivers’ standings with six podium results.

Geppert said: "I'm excited to take the step to TCR Spain in this way. After going through the CET in 2021 with the support of Hyundai Motor Spain, being able to continue representing the brand with these new Elantra N TCR is a privilege. And to do it with such a prestigious team as Teo Martín Motorsport means that we have all the ingredients to reap many successes."
