Practice 2 – Tassi and Vernay are fastest

The second Practice session saw Attila Tassi replacing his fellow Hungarian Ferenc Ficza as the leader of the timesheet.
Tassi and his M1RA Honda Civic Type-R posted the fastest lap of 1:41.516, beating Jean-Karl Vernay’s Leopard Racing Volkswagen Golf GTi by only 16 thousandths. Ficza’s Zele Racing SEAT León remained close, ranking third (1:42.097).
Midway through the session, Davit Kajaia posted provisional fastest laps of 1:43.155 and 1:42.154 in his GE-Force Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
With twelve minutes left on the clock, Ficza improved the fastest lap to 1:42.138, but he was soon demoted by Tassi’s 1:41.516 that no one was able to beat. Only Vernay managed to get close, moving up to second with a gap of 16 thousandths.
Ficza and Kajaia were classified third and fourth; behind them Roberto Colciago (1:42.194), Pepe Oriola (1:42.315), Mat’o Homola (1:42.524), Hugo Valente (1:42.609), Giacomo Altoè (1:42.612) and James Nash (1:42.736) filled the positions between fifth and tenth.
The third GE-Force Alfa Romeo, driven by the Rustavi International Motorpark owner Shota Abkhazava could not join the session as the team is replacing the engine.
Drivers will be back in action at 15:00 for the Qualifying session.
