Jordi Oriola will take part in the inaugural race meeting of the TCR International Series in an Opel Astra OPC run by Campos Racing, teaming up with Igor Skuz from Ukraine.
"I am very excited to be in the TCR International Series as this is an important challenge in my sporting career. It will be a busy year, and I will race in the SEAT León Eurocup as well, but I want to make the most out of this opportunity. I am also excited to race against my brother Pepe for the first time since our karting years, I have tested the Opel Astra OPC and the feeling was very good; I also know the team and I believe we will do a good job together,"said Oriola.
Team manager Joan Orús commented: “Jordi has a very promising future in Touring Cars. He should take this year as an apprenticeship, so that in 2016 he can become a serious contender in the TCR International Series. We are very pleased that he accepted our offer, because the Campos Racing project is very ambitious.”
Later in the season, Jordi Oriola will also take part in the TCR International Series events at Valencia and Monza at the wheel of a SEAT León Racer car run by Target Competition.
