Ferenz Ficza crashes during Practice 1

10 June 2017

Another Hungarian driver, another big shunt. After Attila Tassi’s crash at Turn 9 in yesterday’s test session, Ferenc Fizca hit the barrier hard a few metres further down during this morning Free Practice 1.
The incident prompted the red flag that stopped the session after only ten minutes.
Ficza was quickly rescued, he walked out of the car, shocked, but apparently unhurt. He has been transported to the circuit’s medical centre for checks.
The session will resume as soon as the Armco barrier will be repaired; however the end of the session has been set at 10:55.

Update: Ficza is being transported to the hospital for further medical checks as he suffers from pains to the ribs.
